East Midlands Airport is currently consulting on its Sustainable Development Plan, and we are encouraging all members of our parish and local community to get involved and share their views.

The airport is committed to building a more sustainable future and is seeking feedback to help shape its long-term approach to development. This is a great opportunity for local residents and stakeholders to contribute their ideas and concerns, ensuring the plan reflects what matters most to the people who live and work nearby.

The Sustainable Development Plan focuses on five key areas:

  • Economy – Supporting regional growth and employment opportunities

  • Land Use – Making the best use of available land

  • Surface Access – Improving connections to and from the airport

  • Environment – Minimising environmental impact and promoting greener operations

  • Community – Engaging with and supporting local communities

The consultation is open until 16th May 2025 – so there’s plenty of time to have your say, but don’t leave it too late!
